We study the Fareytail expansion of the topological partition function of N = 4 SU (N) super Yang-Mills theory on K3. We argue that this expansion corresponds to a sum over geometries in asymptotically AdS 3 spacetime, which is holographically dual to a large number of coincident fundamental heterotic strings.

The corrections to the gravitational potential due to a Sol extra dimensional compact manifold, denoted as M 3 A , are studied. The total spacetime is of the form M 4 × M 3 A. The range of the Sol corrections is investigated and compared to the range of the T 3 corrections.

We present an octonionic N = 1 superfield action that reproduces in components the action of Bagger and Lambert for M2 branes. By giving an expectation value to one of the scalars we obtain the maximally supersymmetric superfield action for D2 branes.
